How to Mitigate Winter Roof Damage

Winter can be tough on your roof. Snow, ice, and freezing temperatures put your home’s exterior at risk, leading to issues like leaks, structural damage, and energy loss. Fortunately, taking these preventive steps can help protect your roof from winter’s harsh conditions and extend its lifespan.

Regular Roof Inspections

Keep Your Gutters Clean

Remove Snow and Ice Accumulation

Seal Cracks and Leaks

Before winter, seal any small cracks in your roof or flashing with waterproof roofing sealant. This can help prevent water from seeping in and causing damage during winter storms. Make sure to use products specifically designed for roofing to ensure durability and weather resistance.
